Every Body Hit Somebody

Director: Amanda Berg
Constructed from found media combined with 16mm film, still photographs and interviews recorded by Berg, Every Body Hit Somebody explores issues and expectations around gender and identity through the documentation of the Carolina Phoenix women's tackle football team. The accounts from players on the team testify to their strength and resilience in the face of the barriers still imposed on women in competitive contact sports, making their ultimate victory all the more transcendent.
